At Kedai Kopi Ri Sheng, each dish tells a story. The Soto Ayam, praised for its deliciously rich and aromatic broth, invites you in with its delicate balance of spices that warms both body and soul—an ideal dish to enjoy in the cool breeze that the restaurant’s unique location provides, tucked conveniently behind Poslaju. Meanwhile, the mee rojak offers a delightful contrast of textures and flavors, where tangy, sweet, and spicy notes harmonize to create a standout plate that leaves a lasting impression.
The menu also features creative hits like the Garlic-infused dishes that have won over many palates, although some find the spicy selections a bit more subdued, offering a gentle kick rather than overwhelming heat. No visit here would be complete without trying the legendary pisang cheese, a simple yet addictive treat that combines crispy banana with melty cheese – an affordable indulgence that’s consistently praised for its deliciousness.
Inside, the atmosphere evokes fond memories for many, with one customer reflecting on the nostalgic vibe reminiscent of past decades. The modest setting allows for a more private, relaxed dining experience, especially appreciated on hot days when the gentle coastal breeze cools the air. Trying my luck here and it turns out they only served Soto and Rojak. The Soto Ayam I had is good. The soup taste delicious. Nothing fancy over here just that you can have your privacy because its located behind opposite the Poslaju. The weather outside is hot but its windy here. No sweat!

1. Taste: 4/5 2. Presentation: 2/5 3. Portion size: 3/5 4 Temperature: 4/5 5. Service: 3/5 6. Value for money: 4/5 7. Overall: 3/5 Soto was a 4/5 it’s missing 1 ingredient, the wow ingredient. It’s the only soto I’ve had that is not salty but the soup was indeed nice n tasty. The soup needs to be a little hotter but still pleasant to eat. No complaints on the meat. Would have been nice if they had added an egg cos i was still hungry aftr finishing the bowl. The rojak is all in the satay source n most of them knw how to cook it, so i felt it was good but also average. The cook has been there over 10years now, so i was told. Overall a nice plc to eat simple

The atmosphere reminded me of the olden days when my late father used to take me there. The place was quite busy, so had to wait a little for my drinks/food to arrive. The mee rojak was REALLY delicious. The soto was nice too but the rojak hit the right notes. Portion was just nice.
